Tidal Pourings
Tidal Pourings 2007 Materials: acrylic ink on mylar, paper Dimensions: 30″ X 22″ The tidal pourings arose out of a 6-week residency on Westport Island in Maine. There was a tidal estuary behind the barn where we lived and worked. Every day we witnessed the movements of ebb and flood tide thru the marsh. These pieces are a continuation of the pourings, but specifically around a curiosity about tidal life. What is the experience of plants and animals who live in an environment of continual flux? What is it like to have the perspective of the waterline at eye level, going up and down?
